Visitors to the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway yesterday were able to take a step back in time when the Watlington Donkey was running on the line. Their steam locomotive was hooked up to a 92 year old autocoach, which enabled the driver to control his train remotely from the rear of the coach, removing the need to run the locomotive round at the terminus. The Donkey was a regular site on the line between Watlington, Chinnor and Princes Risborough until it was closed to passengers by British Railways in 1957.
