Members of Thame Choral Society ( @thamechoral ) managed to clamber up Snowdon as part of a three peaks challenge organised by their musical director Helen Swift, who leads three choirs, Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir, Towcester Choral Society and Thame Choral Society
In atrocious weather, the team, made up of the three choirs, managed to conquer the Welsh mountain in five hours where they sang the Welsh Anthem, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau to the accompaniment of a keyboard carried by Helen & her husband, Jon.
As well as singing their way up Snowdon, Helen performed Flower of Scotland atop Ben Nevis and Jerusalem at the peak of Scafell
Alongside this, various members of the choirs completed walks, runs, or cycled the equivalent step count of the peaks.
The whole venture was called: Three peaks, Three choirs, One voice, One mind. To acknowledge how isolating the last year has been and how detrimental it has been on peoples mental health and difficult for music as well.
They managed to raise over eight thousand pounds for their choirs and the mental health charity MIND.
