The organisers of Thame Carnival have had to take the step of cancelling the event for 2021
Their email to us said
“Our aim as organisers of Thame Carnival is to provide the people of Thame and surrounding villages with a fun-packed day out in a safe environment.
With guidance from local authorities, we have regretfully decided that the most responsible course of action to take in the current situation regarding COVID-19 is to cancel Thame Carnival 2021.
Our priority in doing this is to safeguard the people of Thame, our performers, stall holders and volunteers.
We plan to be back in 2022 on a date to be decided. Keep an eye on other social media accounts and website for further details.
To all of our procession entries, performers, stall holders and traders, we look forward to seeing you next year.”
The carnival was due to be held on 13th June after being cancelled last year for the same reason.
