As it is likely that social distancing regulations will still prohibit large public gatherings this autumn so, if visitors are unlikely to go to the Festival in person this year, then the Festival will go to them!
Festival Director, Yvonne Maxwell told us this morning, “Following the lockdown, and facing months of uncertainty around public events, we decided to be positive and to find a way to deliver TAL Festival. So using the latest technology and with the support of our fantastic team, TAL Festival will take place over the 3rd weekend in October as usual but will be beamed directly to our audience via the internet.”
“ It is a very exciting prospect to be able to host events with some excellent authors and we are thrilled that TAL Festival will go ahead and that we are able to bring our Festival to you at home. So put it in your diary, choose a comfy chair and settle down to a splendid weekend of talks and music.”
DigiTAL Festival 2020 will go live on October 15, 2020, and continue until Sunday, October. 18 and registration for the four-day virtual festival will be open from Sept 1.
