Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust released a statement this morning (Fri) about the death of one of their nursing team in Aylesbury. The statement said
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of a much loved member of our nursing team, Jun Terre, aged 52, who passed away yesterday having tested positive for Covid-19.
Our hearts and condolences go out to his wife, who is also a member of the BHT family, and all his loved ones. Jun will be sorely missed by his colleagues, particularly those on Ward 7 at Stoke Mandeville where he worked as one of our amazing health care assistants.
Neil Macdonald, Chief Executive said, “I am so sorry to have to share such sad news today. This tragic loss of a valued member of our team has affected us all greatly.
“Jun was described by his team as a gracious, quiet and kind gentleman with a smile that would light up a room. He was loved by everyone and he looked after his patients with great care and compassion.
“I am especially grateful for the care given to Jun by our ICU team. He was being looked after by people who have worked with and knew him personally; I know they feel this loss deeply as do his friends and colleagues throughout the Trust.“
The family has asked that their privacy be respected at this very sad time.
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust will be offering support to Jun’s family as well to his colleagues and friends at the Trust.
