Red Kite Radio are going back to their roots and will broadcast live from Summerfest this year when the festival returns after an enforced postponement last year owing to Covid-19.
Red Kite Radio was born on 2017 after broadcasting for many years as a part-time local station which was built around Summerfest – called unsurprisingly, Summerfest Radio.
This year’s event takes place on 17th July at Haddenham Community Junior School, Woodways, Haddenham and is described as “PROBABLY THE BEER FESTIVAL OF THE YEAR”
This year’s live music line up is:
- 12.30pm – The Barnstormers
- 1.40pm – Craig, Live
- 2.40pm – The Pound Shop Glasses
- 3.45pm – The Ponderosa
- 5.00pm – The Band With No Name
The Beer Festivals Trust which organises both Summerfest and it’s chillier Winterfest has so far raised £328,000 for local good causes and hopes that this year will be one of its best yet.
You can join in too and they are currently looking for people or business to sponsor barrels of beer. This allows the organisers to put on one of the greatest selection of beers, ciders and speciality ales in the county. You can find out more information about barrel sponsorship here
