Red Kite Radio has announced that they are to broadcast the socially distanced drive-in festival Music at the Farm in September.
The festival, the brainchild of Chinnor resident Eddy Smythe, is the first socially distanced, drive-in festival in Oxfordshire will take place behind the High Street in Chinnor and it has a great line-up of acts for the day for the day.
The festival is to raise funds for the NHS and Eddy is hopeful to have more surprises on the day.
Red Kite Radio Station Manager Steve Fox said “We are incredibly excited to be part of this project with Eddy. It is pushing our use of technology to the edge but it is a fascinating challenge to take a live feed from a field, send it back to our studio and then simultaneously re-broadcast it on FM stereo back to the field so that people in their cars can hear the music in the comfort of their own car and maintain social distancing.
“This is what community radio is for, helping the members of the community we serve and we are looking forward to the challenge and to giving the people of Chinnor a voice”
