Oxfordshire residents have shown overwhelming generosity with their donations for people evacuated from Afghanistan to RAF Brize Norton. Such has been the response that the county council have advised that no further donations are needed just now. Coucillor Liz Leffman, leader of Oxfordshire County Council, thanked residents and businesses for their donations and offers of help. She said that staff have been busy sorting through the donations and allocating them according to family needs. She added that, as they identify specific requests going forward, the council will put out requests for them.
