The Oxfordshire Community Foundation’s new Community Resilience Fund has given over £100,000 to support local community and voluntary organisations to meet the challenges of coronavirus.
The foundation’s work is designed to ensure that charities not only respond better but also recover more strongly from the pandemic.
The objectives of the fund are to:
- Help organisations to respond better: grants for new needs appearing as a result of the Coronavirus and where restrictions mean finding new ways of meeting existing needs.
- Help organisations to recover stronger: grants to help ensure organisations can survive if their operations or income are interrupted by the Coronavirus and continue for the longer-term.
The foundation was set up by the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire and celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
