A man has been charged after an officer was assaulted in Aylesbury.
Sulaimaan Khan, aged 25, of Somerville Road, Birmingham was charged with one count each of driving a motor vehicle dangerously and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
It is in connection with an incident at around 2.30pm on Monday (24/8) in Hampden Gardens, Aylesbury in which officers attempted to stop a vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and an officer’s foot was caught between the vehicle and a police car.
The officer received hospital treatment but has since been discharged.
Khan has been remanded in custody to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 29 September.
