Kop Hill are having a pre-September run on 15th August in conjunction with Chinnor Railways. This marks three years to the day that the C&PRR formally opened its new Platform 4 at Princes Risborough, thereby becoming the nearest mainline-connected Heritage Railway to London.
The run will consist of seventy vehicles leaving Princes Risborough Railway Station at 9AM and driving a route of approximately 50miles. The drivers and occupants will then board a special train from Princess Risborough to Chinnor.
Entry costs £10.
Runners MUST have taken up bookings for the steam trip and have their booking documentation to hand.
The drive will take approximately 2hours and include Princes Risborough; Wendover; Haddenham; Thame; Chinnor; Bledlow and obviously any other villages in between.
Chiltern Railways have already most kindly agreed to waive all daily parking charges for the event runners. There is only one entrance/exit, which will simplify organization on the day and KHC will provide the station stewarding.
