Chinnor and Thame Friends of the Earth invites you to join them to hear a talk from environmentalist and wildlife campaigner Jan Stannard, about the importance of rewilding.
Thursday 20 May at 7.30pm on Zoom.
This talk is open to all – please forward to your friends and family!
Loss of biodiversity and species extinction are now recognised as urgent existential threats to both
nature and human society. Now, more than ever, we must reset our relationship with the natural world.
Nature is a part of us. It’s our life support system. We can only thrive if nature thrives. Britain should be teeming with wildlife. Instead many of our wildlife populations – from songbirds to insects and plankton – are collapsing. Rewilding can play a vital role in the restoration of ecosystems to the point where nature can take care of itself.
Jan will tell us about what rewilding means to her and specifically about Heal, the rewilding project she founded
to build a fund to purchase land in the English lowlands and give it back to nature.
