Work carried out by the Parish Council to refurbish the disused Day Care Centre is progressing well.
The entrance to the new Parish Council office (see picture) has been created, with the paving and external landscaping due to be completed as weather permits. Internal structural works are complete and work is now underway on decoration and the installation of fixtures and fittings.
Unfortunately, damp has been found within the Mabel Parkinson room, most likely due to a leaking roof. Investigations to confirm the source of the leak are underway. Once this has been identified, plans to address the issue will be drawn up.
Meanwhile, the Village Hall Management Committee has carried out improvements to the heating & hot water systems in the lobby, kitchen and toilets where more efficient boilers and radiators have been installed.
The Walter Rose room has also benefited from redecoration and improvements to the heating system.
