Yesterday, a group of socially distancing (in some cases) scarecrows made their annual pilgrimage to Haddenham.
Francesca Flaxton, the event organiser, said on Haddenham.net that they had received 127 official entries this year into the competition surpassing all previous years.
She added “In these very challenging times, we’re really hoping that the Festival will cheer people up and provide a welcome distraction that can be enjoyed safely while taking daily exercise and social distancing.”
Proceeds from the event this year go to Medical Detection Dogs and so far they have raised over £700.
