According to the Haddenham Parish Council website and Facebook, David Lyons has resigned from Haddenham Parish Council, where he has served as a parish councillor since 2011.
According to their website: “We are sad to report that David Lyons has decided to step down from his role as Parish Councillor due to the pressures of work and family commitments. David has been a Parish Councillor since May 2011 and, as a member of the Environment Committee, was instrumental in the establishment of Townsend Community Orchard and in pushing forward environmental issues including the declaration of a Climate Emergency. We will miss David’s enthusiasm and passionate contributions to the work of the Council and wish him well in his future endeavours.
David’s resignation creates a Casual Vacancy on the Parish Council. Notice of the vacancy has been given to Buckinghamshire Council. The notice and information on becoming a Parish Councillor can be found on the Elections Page of the Parish Council website, as well as an application form for anyone who is interested in applying. “
