A council tax rise to help pay for extra policing across the Thames Valley has been approved. The police precept on council tax bills will rise by £10, meaning a typical Band D household will be paying £46 more for policing than they did 3 years ago. Thames Valley Police said that, despite the additional funding, cuts of over £14 million will still need to be made over the next 4 years.
