CHINNOR RFC Thame have announced the appointment of Daz Oliver as Strength & Conditioning Coach.
The former RAF lock enjoyed two spells with the club as a player and is well known to members and supporters.
Having previously held the position of S&C Coach, Daz is delighted to be a part of the set-up once more.
He said: “I am really pleased to be brought into the management team alongside Richard Thorpe (Director of Rugby), Matty Mountford (Team Manager) and Bertie Hopkin (Club Captain). Thorpey has outlined his vision for the Club and the culture we want to build, and it’s very exciting. I have been in and around the Club since 2014 as a player and S&C, I even run my company Powerhouse Performance Club from it. Powerhouse has been involved with the strength and conditioning for the last two seasons, so we have a good understanding of what works and what doesn’t. Thorpey has given me licence to put whatever systems I see necessary in place to get us up to the standard we want to operate at. I am looking forward to this continued Chinnor and Powerhouse partnership.”
Chinnor RFC Thame Director of Rugby, Richard Thorpe said: “During my time in Premiership and international environments, the Head of Strength & Conditioning was always a crucial part of the senior management team. Daz is a professional through and through. His physiology and military knowledge, and experience will give our players a competitive edge over other National League 1 teams when we return to playing.”
