An online petition is calling for the closure of luxury shopping centre Bicester Village until they can safely enforce social distancing.
Photos on social media show massive crowds in the village standing around as they wait to be given access to the various stores.
According to the Bicester Village website, all guests (shoppers) have their temperature taken as they arrive and are asked not to queue outside shops but to use their digital system which allows shoppers to carry on shopping and be called back once it is their time to enter the store.
However the app failed to work today meaning that large queues formed outside some shops causing crowding of the walkways.
The petition has already been signed by nearly 2000 people
