Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Cancer Services have continued to provide cancer treatments and surgery to as many patients as possible.
Cancer surgery successfully restarted at Wycombe Hospital last week, and their chemotherapy services are being re-designed to allow safe treatment with social distancing.
Most of their clinics can be done over the telephone initially and when people do need to come into hospital they are taking steps to ensure this is safe for all.
Andrew McLaren, Cancer Lead for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, said: “We are open to referrals and would encourage anyone with symptoms of possible cancer to contact their GP.
“Most cancers can be cured and this is much more likely if they are picked up as soon as possible.”
