Yesterday hundreds of people turned out for a Black Lives Matter march in Aylesbury.
The protest set off from Watermead towards Vale Park to hear speeches and the route was supported by the Thames Valley Police who posted the progress of the march in order to facilitate and support the community.
March organisers had asked for protesters to respect social distancing and wear face masks.
The event passed peacefully and was only marred by a torrential downpour which started as the marchers reached market square.
The Aylesbury event was one of many held in towns and cities across the UK despite government pleas not to attend mass gatherings because of coronavirus.
