Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after an attempted burglary of elderly woman’s house in Monks Risborough.
An 89-year-old woman was asleep in her home in Aylesbury Road at approximately 9.15pm on Thursday (14/5), when she was woken by a noise at the front door.
Two offenders were attempting to gain entry through the front door of the property, but they fled after being disturbed.
The offenders were dressed in black and wearing black face coverings and hats.
It is believed the offenders may have been travelling in a silver Audi TT vehicle.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Gareth Cowley said: “This was an extremely frightening incident for the victim, an 89-year-old who was asleep when the offenders attempted to break into the property.
“We are appealing to anyone with information to contact the force as soon as possible. We are particularly interested to hear from anyone who saw a silver Audi TT car in the area, as we believe the offenders may have travelled in this vehicle.
