Communities in Oxfordshire could soon find it easier to make streets safer by reducing speed limits from 30 to 20 miles an hour. Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet will decide at a meeting on 19th October whether to endorse plans to simplify the process of lowering speeds from 30 to 20. If the proposals are adopted, a county-wide survey of parish councils will be carried out to measure the level of interest. The Council also said it would work with key stakeholders such as bus and taxi firms, haulage companies and businesses on the proposals.
